Glasshouse Mountains 

Glasshouse Mountains 4x4 Track

Glass House Mountains is arguably the best known 4x4 track in South East Queensland and is a popular spot for both beginners and experienced 4x4 owners alike. Tucked away within the Beerburrum West State Forest there's a variety of iconic, Instagram worthy tracks including 'Big Red' and the 'Power Line Track'.  

Getting To Glasshouse Mountains 4x4 Tracks

There is a plethora of ways to access Glasshouse Mountain 4x4 Tracks including via Beerburrum Woodford Rd & Twin View Rd. Searching 'Tower Hill' on Google Maps will also take you to a good starting point to start exploring.

Note: Some tracks can be difficult and can lead to your vehicle needing to be recovered. Make sure you are prepared for safe vehicle recoveries, have a winch and additional vehicles with you.  

Bribie Island National Park

Beach Driving on Bribe Island

There's plenty to do and see while four-wheel driving on Bribie Island with just over 20kms of sandy tracks and beach front to explore. Camping is available along with day use areas, freshwater lagoons and heritage-listed WWII remnants as you 4WD along the island's east coast.

Bribie Island National Park and Recreation Area can be accessed by 4WD via White Patch or the Beach Access Track just North of Woorim.

Mount Mee D'Aguilar National Park

Mount Mee D'Aguilar National Park 4x4 Tracks

If you're chasing scenic forest tracks it's hard to beat the Mount Mee 4WD Tracks within D'Aguilar National Park. With large canopies & relatively easy road conditions, Mount Mee Forest Drive offers a relatively tame offroad experience.   

There's plenty of places to stop along the way for pictures with the Somerset and Falls lookouts as well as the Gantry and Mill points of interest.

There are a few options to access to the 4WD trails including Laceys Creek Rd in Dayboro, Sellin Rd in Mount Mee and Rasmussen Rd in Mount Delany.

Bellthorpe National Park

Bellthorpe National Park offers lessor known 4x4 tracks and are only a short drive from Glasshouse Mountains. Hidden between Woodford & Mount Kilcoy, Bellthorpe National Park is a great day trip away for some scenic offroad tracks alongside swimming holes to cool off in the summer heat.

Access to Bellthorpe National Park is just off the D'aguilar Highway up Stony Creek Rd to the entrance alongside the Stony Creek day use area. You can access the full Bellthorpe National Park map on the QLD Government website

Conondale National Park

Conondale National Park Creek Crossing

If you're chasing a more leisurely pace for 4WDing, Conondale National Park offers picturesque rainforest views with a variety of river crossings. Access to the park can be restricted during periods of wet weather which causes flooding of the creek crossings - so make sure to check for park alerts prior to heading out.

For a full day trip away from the city, the drive out to Conondale National Park is hard to beat. Passing through stunning small Sunshine Coast towns like Kenilworth, towards the park entrance on Booloumba Creek Road.
