FREIGHT Policy and Guidelines
ECB employs systems to ensure products will be ready to leave on the shipping date communicated in sales order confirmations, by our customer’s preferred freight company. From time to time, freight companies do miss deadlines , and while every effort is made by ECB to ensure correct and timely despatch, some freight may miss those deadlines.
ECB is able to employ carriers on your behalf to despatch goods to you. The freight cost at the quoted rate, will then be billed to you via invoice with the goods. This does not vary any terms and conditions listed below.
ECB has invested widely in the employment of systems to reduce the incidence of damage in transit. These include correct storage and handling of ECB product at ECB, correct loading of goods onto outgoing transport, and large expenditure in the area of packaging. We believe that this is a significant and worthwhile investment, and is of genuine benefit to ourselves and our customers.
     1. Each customer must advise preferred shipping method and company with each order placed, or by standing arrangement.
     2. Goods signed for and despatched from ECB become the sole responsibility of the receiver.
     3. Freight despatched form ECB is subject to the terms and conditions of transit of the Carrier.
     4. ECB will not accept liability for loss or damage to goods that may occur after despatch from ECB. ECB recommends freight insurance on all outgoing freight.
     5. ECB is able to employ carriers on your behalf to despatch goods to you. The freight cost at the quoted rate, will then be billed to you via invoice with the goods. This does not override any other terms and conditions.
