Bullbar User Survey Report - 4WD Industry Council

A national survey of bull bar users was conducted by the Australian 4WD Industry Council from January to March 2011 to help gather accurate information about public attitudes to the use of bull bars and nudge bars in Australia. The online survey had an overwhelming 42,600 individual responses over a three month period.

This huge survey response was fuelled by a ground swell of opposition to the Federal Government's proposed adoption of United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Regulation GTR-09 on pedestrian safety. This proposal was withdrawn in February 2011. It is the hope of the Bullbar Industry and Users that the findings of this survey help to stimulate an objective and balanced dialogue on the road safety benefits of bull bars in Australia.
